NEW YORK—Team Detroit, a division of WPP, a global communications group, has signed a 12,280-sq.-ft. lease at 257 Park Avenue South.
Brian Feil and Robert Fisher represented The Feil Organization, which owns the property; Sacha M. Zarba, senior vice president at CBRE represented the tenant. Brian Palumbo and Michele Frankel worked as in-house legal counsel for Feil; Mark E. Maltz of Davis & Gilbert LLP represented Team Detroit.
Team Detroit, a Michigan-based boutique agency, will occupy the entire top floor of 257 Park Avenue South including the rooftop, which is being renovated as a garden deck for employees of the company. Team Detroit is expected to move into their new location in the fall of 2012.
Owned by The Feil Organization, 257 Park Avenue South was built in 1912 and is commonly known as The Gramercy Park Building. Located in the Flatiron District/Union Square/Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, the 20-story building features new elevator cabs and spacious lobby with concierge and sculpted ceilings.
Located between 20th and 21st Streets, the building also counts Pei Partnership Architects and Piaggio Group Americas among its tenants.
Team Detroit is comprised of several WPP agencies including JWT, Mindshare, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Wunderman and Y&R. Team Detroit's new Midtown South team will focus predominately on the Lincoln luxury car brand.
