Arlington Hospitality CEO Steps Down

Jerry Herman, president and CEO of Arlington Hospitality Inc., is stepping down from his post. Herman was named president and CEO of the Arlington Heights, Ill.-based hotel development and management firm in December 2002. Herman will remain president and CEO until the end of December 2004.

"Along with the board, [Jerry] helped develop a new strategy and chart a progressive course that has led the company through a difficult downturn in the industry," says Kenneth Fell, chairman of the board.

Herman had commuted from his Washington, D.C. home to Arlington’s headquarters in Illinois for two years. "For personal reasons, I cannot relocate to Chicago at this time. It has been a great pleasure to work with the great team of 800 associates in our corporate headquarters and at our hotels," says Herman.

Arlington Hospitality owns or manages 51 hotel properties in 15 states.
