ATLANTA — A Midtown telecom development has gained a high-profile tenant, while Minneapolis-based St. Paul Cos. has found a new home for its Fire Marine Insurance regional office in suburban Gwinnett County.
At Metro Technology Center Atlanta (MTCA), Kansas City, Mo.-based Sprint has leased 100,000 sq. ft. for its Atlanta E/Solutions Internet Center. A partnership between New York-based MetroNexus, an affiliate of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, and Bethesda, Md.-based Core Location recently redeveloped the 1 million sq. ft telecom hotel, which was built in the 1950s as Sears’ southeast distribution center.
In Gwinnett County, Russ Johnson and Rob Claxton with locally based Colliers Cauble represented St. Paul in its 94,000 sq. ft. lease at Satellite Place. St. Paul is consolidating its regional offices located near Perimeter Mall and Tucker, Ga., into 700 Satellite Place, which is currently under development by Crescent Resources. St. Paul will relocate 450 employees in April 2002.
Robert Fulton, leasing director at Crescent, represented the landlord.
