Nash Finch acquires 14 supermarkets

Minneapolis – Locally based Nash Finch Co. recently acquired Omaha, Neb.-based U Save Foods Inc. through a purchase of U Save's capital stock. U Save Foods was a privately held company with 14 supermarkets operating in Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado.

The former U Save stores currently operate under the U Save Foods, Sixth Street Food Stores, Cub Foods and Pic' n Save banners. These acquired stores will be re-branded under Nash Finch's Sun Mart banner later this year.
