SANTA ANA, Calif./TORRANCE, Calif. – Partner Engineering and Science Inc. (Partner), a national engineering, environmental and energyconsulting firm headquartered in Torrance, Calif., has purchased a 9,353-square-foot building for the company’s new office at 1761 East Garry Ave. in Santa Ana, Calif., for $1.5 million. This office will replace company offices in Irvine, which no longer accommodate the rapidly expanding firm.
The new and improved office space significantly increases the number and capacity of employees in Santa Ana enabling Partner to further expand the depth of services provided in the Orange County area.
“We have worked in the Orange County market for many years, and we’re seeing a significant increase in transactions here,” said Joe Derhake, PE, president of Partner. “We’re expanding our presence in the area to meet increased demand for our services and to better serve the industry and local markets we’ve grown into.”
Prior to moving into the building in August, Partner completed tenant improvements on both floors including all new interior finishes, exterior renovations, mechanical and electrical upgrades and an expansion to the low voltage and telecommunications systems. Partner will occupy 7,149-square-feet on both the ground and second floors, and lease the remaining space to an outside tenant.
The new Orange County office will be led by Gavin Jones, a principal and national client manager at Partner. Jones is a veteran of the commercial real estate due diligence industry with more than 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting field. Five additional principals will be based out of this office, including Chris Daniels, director of surveying and mapping. The office will be comprised of professionals operating across most of Partner’s service lines, including real estate due diligence, surveying and mapping, construction management and site mitigation.
Michael Kendall, senior vice president at CBRE, represented Partner in the acquisition. Peter Wells, senior associate at CBRE, will handle the listing for the second-floor lease.
The new Orange County office augments Partner’s already strong local presence across California, which includes regional offices in San Francisco, San Diego and Riverside.
