Rockville, MD– Scheer Partners, the leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas, announces today its hiring by the National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union (“NIHFCU”) to secure a new 20,000-square-foot headquarters location, which is slated to occur in the spring of 2014.
For more than 70 years, the NIHFCU has been Maryland’s largest federal credit union and the nation’s largest credit union serving the biomedical and health-care industries.
Scheer Partners Senior Vice Presidents Matt Brady and Henry Bernstein will represent the NIHFCU, which is currently based at 111 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
According to Brady, “Their goal is to relocate closer to the health science and medical hub found on Research Boulevard and Shady Grove Road. They are committed to expanding their business relationships and enhancing services to their customers, and they believe that they can achieve greater operational efficiencies in a newly designed facility along the Interstate 270 biomedical corridor.”
Says Bernstein, “Their principle goal is to create operational efficiencies with greater functional space to meet their changing information-technology and regulatory requirements.”
Adds Brady, “A branch location on the first floor of this headquarters facility would represent an added enhancement, but it is not critical to the NIHFCU’s decision.”
