PRESS RELEASE: White & Case Commits to 57,954 SF at Southeast Financial Center

MIAMI, November 25, 2013Southeast Financial Center, Florida’s tallest and largest office tower and plaza totaling 1.225 million square feet in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District, announced today that global law firm White & Case LLP has signed a long-term lease renewal for 57,954 square feet, representing three full floors of office space within the building and the fourth largest lease signed to date in Miami’s CBD for 2013.

One of the building’s long-standing tenants, White & Case established its Miami office more than 25 years ago and today serves clients based in Florida, throughout the United States and worldwide, with a particular emphasis on the Latin American market. Practice specialties include advising multinational corporations, financial institutions and intermediaries and governmental entities in complex domestic and cross-border corporate and financial transactions and dispute resolution proceedings.

According to Jones Lang LaSalle, active demand for Miami office space to lease by tenants currently touring the market is 1.79 million square feet, with law firms demanding the most total square footage at roughly 376,000. Within this sector, technological advancements and generational factors are influencing real estate requirements. In line with this growing trend, White & Case is currently in the design phase for a more efficient floor plan and a state-of-the-art legal environment as part of its renewal.
