A Canada-based real estate group has purchased eight Greater Baltimore hotels near White Marsh Mall and Arundel Mills. American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, announced it agreed to acquire a portfolio of 18 Marriott- and Hilton-branded hotels across Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The deal was for $407.4 million, including mandated property improvement plans, and is expected to close at the end of June.
