Pair of Downtown Baltimore Hotels Sell

The two hotels were bought as part of a $163 million, five-hotel portfolio.

Two downtown Baltimore hotels have been sold as part of a portfolio sale and will undergo renovations. Austin, Texas-based Summit Hotel Properties purchased the Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor and the Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore Downtown-Inner Harbor. The two hotels were bought from Orlando, Fla.-based Xenia Hotels & Resorts as part of a $163 million five-hotel portfolio that also includes hotels in Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Fort Worth, Texas.
