Trick Door

Brazil's elegant Clube Chocolate store on São Paulo's tony Rua Oscar Freire is minimalism at its best. A narrow passageway to the right includes a hidden wooden door that slides open as customers approach. The wood-plank façade is interrupted only by a window with the name Clube Chocolate spelled out in small, unassuming letters. By not fighting for attention among its upscale neighbors, the storefront is unmistakably compelling.
