Hendricks Sets Start for $30M Ironworks

INDIANAPOLIS—Hendricks Commercial Properties will start construction Wednesday of the $30 million mixed-use Ironworks at Keystone.

The project is going up at the southwest corner of Keystone Avenue and East 86th Street, the site of the former Woodfield Centre strip mall. The five-story building will feature 36,000 sq. ft. of commercial retail and restaurants on the ground floor, 120 residential apartments and an underground parking structure. The development is expected to open in late spring 2014.

 Local partners on this project include Shiel Sexton, Sitehawk Retail Real Estate, Buckingham Cos., Wooden & McLaughlin LLP and Civil and Environmental Consultants Inc. This is Beloit, Wis.-based Hendricks’ first project in Indiana.
