Laurich Properties and EJM Development Co. opened Arroyo Market Square, a 950,000-sq.-ft. power center in Las Vegas.

Equity and Nationwide Realty Investors will develop Southshore Commons, a $280 million, 1.6-million-sq.-ft. mixed-use project in Tampa, Fla. When completed, the project will include more than one million sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, 490,000 sq. ft. of office space, a 16-screen movie theater and more than 250 hotel rooms. Ground-breaking is scheduled for September 2008. The project will open in the spring of 2010.

Winston Capital and the Michigan State Public Employees Retirement System will develop Brick Row, a $140 million mixed-use project in Richardson, Texas. When completed, the project will contain 500 apartments, 140 townhomes, 300 condominiums, 80,000 sq. ft. of retail space and 11,000 sq. ft. of office space. Construction will begin in the spring of 2008.

Donahue Schriber appointed Scott Lawrence as vice president of REIT construction and member of the company's management committee. Prior to joining Donahue Schriber in 2005, Lawrence worked for Ralphs Grocery Co.

Icon Partners, LLC will develop the Shops at Mercer Crossing, a 500,000-sq.-ft. value fashion center in Dallas. Phase I of the property will be built as a Mediterranean-inspired lakefront town center.

Trademark Property Co. and Coventry Real Estate Advisors will develop High Street, a $105 million, 400,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use project in Houston. The property is scheduled to open in the fall of 2009.

Regency Centers completed construction of Corvallis Market Center, an 82,671-sq.-ft. retail property in Corvallis, Ore.

Prime Retail will develop Prime Outlets — Grand Prairie, a 485,000-sq.-ft. outlet center in Grand Prairie, Texas. Construction will begin in the fall of 2008.

Peter P. Bollinger Investment Co. is developing the Fountains at Roseville, a 320,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use project in Roseville, Calif. Opening is scheduled for the summer of 2008.

DAVACO, Inc. appointed Sheryl Koehn as vice president of brand development. Prior to joining DAVACO, Koehn served as regional manager with Liz Claiborne, Inc.

JBG Rosenfeld Retail will redevelop Bowie Marketplace, an existing 239,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Chevy Chase, Md., into a 240,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use property. Completion is scheduled for 2010.

Equity One, Inc. hired Thomas Caputo as president. Prior to joining Equity One, Caputo served as executive vice president with Kimco Realty Corp. He has more than 25 years of experience in retail real estate.

Cubellis hired John Larsen as managing principal of its retail and mixed-use division. Prior to joining Cubellis, Larsen served as principal and mixed-use/hospitality market sector leader with Jacobs Carter Burgess. He has worked as an architect for 25 years.

CB Richard Ellis hired Bruce Kaplan as senior vice president in its Chicago retail services group. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Kaplan worked at Northern Realty Group, Ltd., a firm he cofounded.
