 The Theaters at the River integrate luxurious character inspired by the history of bygone movie palaces along with contemporary amenities and styling. The state-of-the-art theater complex seats 2,958 patrons and offers 12 large screens. The interiors of The Theaters are designed to be comfortable and luxurious while delighting movie patrons with a full view of the desert sky, the local Santa Rosa Mountains and the adjacent pedestrian plaza and lake. Tinted, dual-glazed fritted glass was chosen for its ability to deflect the desert heat without distorting the view.
The lobby of The Theaters is characterized by natural materials such as wood-paneled walls, limestone and slate. Paint colors are sophisticated tans, taupes and beiges. Theatrical gel lights mounted on the lobby's copper-clad ceiling highlight a series of five custom, oil-painted murals depicting scenes from the history of entertainment. A classical bar and cafŽ stools surround three plasma screens where visitors can enjoy snacks and watch movie previews. A custom-designed, geometric-patterned carpet guides movie patrons down sconce-lined hallways to auditoriums where oversized, fabric-covered stadium seating ensures a comfortable experience and unparalleled view.
