Housing Developer Surprises U of M Students with an 'Incomplete' on Their Apartments

The developer of a student housing project near the University of Minnesota won't be able to deliver the project in time for the fall semester.

A Kansas developer building a 195-unit apartment building near the University of Minnesota says the project is on pace to open in December. One problem: Tenants — most of them U of M students — were expecting to move in at the start of semester, just weeks from now. City Pages has a report on the state of things for prospective tenants of Elsey Partners' Prime Place apartments, who were told last week that the apartments they'd signed leases for won't be ready for months.
