An affordable housing summit is just one of the scheduled events at Greenbuild 2010 International Conference and Expo, which gets under way Nov. 17 in Chicago.
Environment-friendly affordable housing policy and design, as well as construction techniques are listed on the agenda, and leaders in providing the green housing for low-income families and individuals are scheduled to appear at educational sessions, networking opportunities and collaborative sessions known as charrettes.
LEED workshops by the U.S. Green Building Council also are scheduled, along with other educational sessions and an international forum. An exposition hall will feature products and techniques used to save energy and reduce companies’ carbon footprint.
Greenbuild 2010 will be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago through Nov. 19.
