Bloomfield Hills, Mich. – The Mall at Wellington Green, a development of locally based Taubman Centers Inc., recently opened in the Village of Wellington, Fla. The two-level, 1.3-million-sq.-ft. shopping mall is the centerpiece of Palm Beach County's new 466-acre Wellington Green mixed-use community.
The center is anchored by Burdines, Dillard's, JCPenney, and Lord & Taylor department stores. Nordstrom will join the mall in the fall of 2003.
It is expected that as many as 120 stores will be open by the holiday shopping season, and this first phase will eventually include 140 stores. The second phase, opening with Nordstrom, will include an additional 20 retailers expanding the total offering to nearly 160 stores.
